AAAA 2026 Call for Nominations

The American Academy of Anesthesiologist Assistants (AAAA) is now accepting nominations for open Board of Directors positions. This is your opportunity to influence the future of our Academy and represent the interests of Certified Anesthesiologist Assistants nationwide.

Open Positions

​There is one (1) position available for each of the following roles:

• President-Elect (3-Year Term)

• Committee Executive (2-Year Term)

• Director – At-Large (3-Year Term)

• Director – Southern Caucus (3-Year Term)

• Director – Central Caucus (3-Year Term)

Position Descriptions

President-Elect: The President-Elect assists the President and Board, plans future committee appointments, and reviews the strategic plan before taking office. This officer serves as liaison to State Academy Leaders and hosts State Academy Forums.

 

Committee Executive: The Committee Executive supports committee chairs in developing and executing work plans aligned with AAAA’s strategic goals. This officer meets regularly with committee leaders, coordinates student representation, and ensures effective collaboration with external liaisons.

 

Director – At-Large: At-Large Directors may practice anywhere in the U.S. and represent the entire membership. They serve three-year terms (max two consecutive terms) and contribute to Board initiatives, committee work, and strategic decisions.

 

Director – Southern Caucus: Southern Caucus Directors must primarily practice within the Southern Caucus (Florida, Georgia, Alabama, Kentucky, Tennessee). They serve as a voice for members in their region and on the national Board.

 

Director – Central Caucus: Central Caucus Directors must primarily practice within the Central Caucus (Texas, Missouri, Indiana, Wisconsin, Michigan, Ohio). They serve a three-year term and represent their regional members.

 

Nomination Guidelines

• Any CAA member of AAAA may vote for any elected Board position.

• Caucus Directors must primarily practice within their respective caucus region.

• At-Large Directors may be practicing CAAs from any location in the U.S.
