Advancing Anesthetist Advocacy

Advocacy is at the Heart of AAAA’s Mission

Advocacy is central to the work of the American Academy of Anesthesiologist Assistants (AAAA). At both the federal and state levels, AAAA works tirelessly to protect, advance, and expand the ability of Certified Anesthesiologist Assistants (CAAs) to practice as integral members of the Anesthesia Care Team—ensuring patients across the country have access to safe, high-quality anesthesia care.

Through strategic legislative engagement, regulatory advocacy, coalition-building, and grassroots activation, AAAA champions policies that strengthen the profession and support the patients and communities CAAs serve.

Get Engaged

Strong advocacy depends on the collective voice of CAAs and those who support the Anesthesia Care Team. Grassroots engagement plays a critical role in shaping public policy and educating lawmakers about the importance of access to high-quality anesthesia care.

AAAA makes it easy for CAAs and supporters to engage directly with their state and federal elected officials through coordinated grassroots advocacy initiatives. Whether you are responding to an urgent action alert, sharing your professional perspective, or supporting long-term advocacy priorities, your participation helps move the profession forward.
