National Advanced Practice Provider (APP) Week recognizes and celebrates the contributions of advanced practice providers across the healthcare system, including Certified Anesthesiologist Assistants (CAAs), Physician Assistants/Associates, Nurse Practitioners, Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetists, Clinical Nurse Specialists, and Certified Nurse Midwives.
These healthcare professionals play important roles in delivering safe, high-quality, patient-centered care. National APP Week provides an opportunity to recognize their contributions, highlight their unique areas of expertise, and raise awareness of the vital roles they play in healthcare.

AAAA at National APP Week
AAAA President Emily Mycyk, CAA, represented the Certified Anesthesiologist Assistant profession during the 2026 National APP Week President’s Panel.
The panel brought together national healthcare leaders to discuss the role, impact, and future of advanced practice providers. Emily's participation helped elevate the CAA perspective in this national conversation and highlight the important role CAAs play in physician-led anesthesia care.
