Oklahoma Board approves Permanent AA Rules and Regulations

On March 26th, 2009, the Oklahoma State Board of Medical Licensure & Supervision voted on the temporary rules and regulations for anesthesiologist assistants and unanimously approved them as permanent. No changes were made to the temporary AA rules and regulation including the stated supervision ratio of 1:4 (anesthesiologist to AAs). Immediately after the permanent approval of these rules and regulations, the OSBMLS approved the first two AA applicants for OK licensing.
